Elizabeth Buchan - Sherborne Literary Festival

More gardening today - then I went to an event in the late afternoon in the Digby Hall - afternoon tea for an hour with a short talk by Elizabeth Buchan whose books I have always loved- particularly the 'Light of the Moon'. She was discussing her latest novel - ' The New Mrs Clifton ' an Englishman brings working with the interrogation teams in Germany brings home an English wife. The novel was based on an event in Elizabeth's own family where a family member married a German during the war. It led to all kinds of discussion and quite a few members of the audience had interesting links with the subject matter. Definitely one to add to my reading list.
