Learning to walk #2

A couple of years ago, when it became apparent that running gave me repetitive achilles injuries and my running partner liked to slope off and lie in the river, I tried Nordic walking. I haven't done it so much, mainly because it's quite tricky to control a dog and two long sticks at the same time (for me anyway). This morning I decided to restart my Nordic walking regime...and within the first 10 minutes was flat on my face in the middle of the road, having managed to trip myself up as I went down a curb.

Note to self: only use the poles when the feet are stepping along and not when going up or down.
