History

We had to clear out the space under the eaves so that the roofer can get in to see what's going on. It meant we had to move out all the stuff stored there.

It went in there when our daughter came to live with us when she became too disabled with cancer to live alone. Although she died 9 years ago we've never felt up to doing anything about her books etc. But now that we are forced to we are getting on with it.

She kept all her school and uni notes, as well as letters and cards. We are sorting which of her hundreds of books to take to Barter Books, which to charity shops and and which we'll keep or give to her friends. Ella with get her Milly Molly Mandy books. The old Blue Peter annuals will be kept - but maybe not the Jim'll Fix It one.

She studied History at uni so we have a lot of History Today magazines. She loved tennis and went to Wimbledon every year so we have all her programmes.

I've had to stop sorting as I'm too teary.
