An Autumn day in the Highlands

A lovely morning doing some more gardening and having a chat with Richard.
David went to have his haircut in Avoch while Mike and myself had a walk around the harbour. The tide was in and very high again. Most of the boats have been taken out of the water. The new little garden by the chippy is looking great and it was nice to see the seating area being used. The other new addition is a stone compass laid in the grass, still fenced off at the moment so a few more finishing touches to be done.
We then went for a quick walk in Rosehaugh. The leaves are beginning to change and looked very colourful. The horses looked up to say hello and then quickly went back to eating the grass. A buzzard flew overhead while long tailed tits called from the top of the fir trees.
Back home and the sun had really disappeared behind the rain clouds and we had some rain.
The first snow fell on the mountain tops and the temperature here went down to 4.8 degrees.
