Autumn colours in summer heat

The beautiful autumn colours of my dogwood tree against the green background.  It is hard to think of it as being fall and almost halloween when it is 80ºF/27ºC outside.

Had lunch with Birgit today and we had a great time putting things to right like we always do.  One of our main topics was whether you need to have given birth to be a mother.  Our general consensus is that you can give birth and not have any maternal instinct or skills and you can never have given birth and in many ways been a mother to many.  Eve was the mother of all living before she and Adam had any off-spring.

Had a lazy afternoon to help recover from yesterday.  I would have loved to have sat outside but it was just too hot for me.  Ooh, tomorrow's another day!
