Don't tell the burglars

I was on a walk and talk this morning, the topic being the architecture of a local Devon landowner, Mark Rowle. He was very fortunate in getting his inheritance as his elder brother got the Clinton estate. He built many buildings in the local area including farms, worker's cottages and outbuildings. We were shown the rear of one cottage which had a washroom and a piggery and a large rear garden to grow crops. The local church has been re-roofed at great expense very recently. The extra shows the inscription on a memorial stone at a water point built by Mark Rowle to provide water for the village.
