White bracts encircle
Protecting tiny clusters
Waiting to unveil

Since Tiny Tuesday I have discovered the four white bracts on the dogwood flowers spend some time closed.  Not closed tightly but rather gathered together like a won ton.  The ends of the bracts are a deep maroon colour.  Nature is so clever.  Just peeping out are the tiny green true flowers.  I'm pleased with this shot because it is a departure from my usual must have everything in focus style.
