Field of Pink ...

We had a busy but enjoyable day today!

Today was the annual Open Gate Farm Tour for Lehigh County.  Something we always enjoying attending!

We visited a total of four locations on the tour and then finished the day at another event .... Field of Pink at the Hanover Township Community Center.  This last event was the "planting" of pink flags in honor or in memory of those affected by breast cancer.  As a survivor I just had to check it out.  The background picture of my collage is from this event.

Also pictured:

#1.  Alpaca from the Gress Mountain Ranch, which is a public charity, housing large, small and exotic animals in a sanctuary. It is a safe haven and place of recovery for over 70 permanent animal residents.

#2.  White horse from Venture Farms, which is a self-contained horse farm that also grows their own hay.  Sadly, this farm is quite depressing for us to visit and I don't think we will return there in the future.  I will not get into the reason why ...

#3. Haines Mill Museum.  This mill has stood on the Cedar Creek since colonial times (circa 1850).  We have been to this location before but have not been inside it until today.   (My map location is here.)
