I recommend to you

The light show at the Botanics.

The bridge on the Chinese hillside is used as a viewing station for a three minute light show with music. The lights are shone onto smoke and water mist sprayed into the air by carefully timed jets. It is very effective.

The glass house has become a snow globe, or a tornado of fireflies.

There are lanterns and lights that dance to music, and lights you can shoot up trees by pressing a button, there are strings of lights represent the aurora and Chinese lanterns.

A woman selling marshmallows to toast (highly recommended, bit of a sugar rush, but lovely).

The pond has an African 'dancing waters' show.

You can write your wish on a ribbon in Nepal and polka by the pines in Europe, get a coffee in the cafe and watch a lovely film projected onto Inverleith house about the Botanics place in the world.

Something for everyone, totally accessible, loads of cheerful volunteers to keep you right, and if you are totally enchanted you can side step the exit barrier and go round again.
