Shaggy Scalycap

Before settling into report writing, I had a morning walk down near the river, which I don't visit very often now that I have no dogs to exercise. In truth, everything looked a bit drab, but I did find some nice big clumps of Shaggy Scalycap Pholiota squarrosa around the base of some of the willows, as  well as this set of immature fruiting bodies emerging from a dead piece of stump, conveniently at eye level!
