Gala

This evening, I photographed a fundraising gala for one of the NGOs I work for occasionally - CentroNìa. Its mission is to educate children and youth and strengthen families, in a bilingual multi-cultural environment. It serves over 2,400 low income kids and families in the D.C. area.

I always have a lot of fun working their events: the staff is wonderful and kind, the kids full of energy and spunk, and who can resist a mission that harmonizes and celebrates different cultures? Well, I guess a certain orangey-complexed presidential candidate might ;)

Pictured in the blip is the runner-up to the Latino version of the Voice (she's 15 and her voice is exquisite) together with a Latina anchor woman for a local TV station, who served as the MC for the event.
