Homeward Bound Bizarro:)

After a grand time in Portland seeing and sharing the kid's new "digs" and surroundings, we headed back up north to our PNW homeland. Picked up the dogs and had a bumper to bumper tedious drive back. Took double the time it should have!

The crazy right wing billboard is a long standing tradition begun by sloganeer Al Hamilton and after his demise kept on by family members. It's "fondly" known as the "infamous right wing Uncle Same " billboard and located between Centralia and Chehalis. Another fine slogan on the board once said "Public Library! A great place for your kids to meet sexual deviants"! So there you have it.

The sculptures we saw the brainstorm in 2000 by Domic Gospetor to commemorate the Holocaust, Native Americans, Christianity, Mother Theresa and now are owned by the Cowlize Tribe.Gospetor had plans, that went unfinished, to recognize also Jonas Salk (polio vaccine inventor), Suffragette Susan B. Anthony, William Seward, and the 17.000 plus drunk driving victims. Shows what you can do if you are a millionaire!
