Today, with Rachel,feeling much better, we headed out in the car to this castle it was built in the first half of the 14 th century and guarded the northern border with Hungary. It suffered considerably over the years and by 1945 after the red Army had been using it it was in a very poor state. Various renovations have taken place since the 1950's, it now looks very impressive. A good day with lots of beautiful scenery along the way.
