Last Chance Rose

This rose has persisted in coming back over the years even though its growth has been severely stunted by the overgrowing cypress (feature of more than one ‘flash’ blip)and the overgrowing hedge which has now been pushed back with the fence (a couple of years ago).  I’ve even tried to get it to climb up the fence and find some light but no.  Last autumn we cut it completely back and it struggled up a bit this year (see extra) without flowering – until now!
