Der Eisbär (The Polar Bear)

It is a completely random image but it was horrid out today and there was nothing to see except rain clouds and wetness.  You can find Herr Eisbär in the Stadt Museum in Wiesbaden.

Bears were indirectly responsible for introducing me to even more weirdness in the German langúage.  There are four Masculine singular articles - der (nominative) des (genitive) dem (dative) & den (accusative).  But it's not that simple with Bär (and lots of other nouns as well).  you don't use "des Bärs" as in a standard usage, it's "des Bären".  And it's also "dem Bären" & "den Bären". Ha, so not only do you have to watch out for your articles changing, your noun can as well.  I still have to practise more with this.

The bathroom is not finished.  It will be usable after Monday.  Not happy.  But that's pretty standard when you have to deal with trades here.  You can complain as much as you like, but they'll ignore it and present you with the unaltered bill anyway.  It takes getting used to and I haven't yet.
