Home again

We had a much better journey home, no huge queues... not going south. Took Henry out for a walk, and was sad to see the horse chestnuts looking so skeletal. The leaves have shrivelled on the trees, and I don't think they'll last for long. They all seem to be infected by the horsechesnutleafminer larvae. It doesn't seem to effect the tree or the conkers, and the tree still seems to produce as many. We've just lost the beautiful gradual change of colour. On a brighter note, the beeches are colouring up nicely.
