The Team GB Medal Tree

Thought I'd blip this before the weather or tidy people find it.

A tree in Ilkley has become adorned with medals during the Olympics, one for ever team GB medal. Some enterprising soul has produced a pom pom of suitable medal colour following each medal achievement. In this picture you can see the medals of amongst others Vicky Pendleton, Ed Clancy, Anthony Agogo the Coxless Four and those lovely two girls in a boat Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hoskins.

It's a nice quirky thing the medal tree and this evening in the golden light it evoked pleasant memories and I wondered how lovely it must be for them all returning to their familes and communities this week, back to normal ,but in other ways never quite the same.
