Wok music

I was *so* impressed with this busker earlier on the Royal Mile. Think Jamaican steel bands as your starting point; however his steel drum was fashioned out of a wok, and he played it with his fingers rather than with sticks so the sound was very gentle. It was actually quite beautiful (for the musos, it reminded me a bit of some of Steve Reich's more melodic stuff, like 'Music for Mallet Instruments, Voices, and Organ'). He had some incense burning at his feet, and I think this would be the ideal soundtrack for a music festival's more hippyish coffee venues! Really impressive.
