From the Neighbours Behind Us

Another rainy day, but I'm just going along with it.  No stress.  Still busy with the MOOC, which is going really, really fast.  At least for now.

We have received news from the court regarding hubby's sickness benefit -- they're working on it.  The court has already received the relevant docs from the govt agency involved, in response to hubby's appeal.  The judge is now reviewing these docs and will then inform hubby, who, in turn, will be given the time to react again.  In the meantime, we've received copies of these docs and they are as thick as two of those old-fashioned telephone books.  We've agreed we're not even going to plough through them any more.  We're both sick and tired of them and will just wait for the judge's go-ahead.  In short, this waiting game is still on.

We've also received an email from the sollicitor (lawyer) regarding the inheritance case.  He has formulated his reply and shown it to hubby as well as to bro-in-law J, for comment.  The four of us, hubby and J and M and I, agree that it looks really good, with all our arguments presented.  The demand will be that the other siblings, but in particular eldest bro T, will be required to arrange things properly as he should have done from the start, set up the proper docs, confess as to who already spirited which item away from their mother's house right after she died, include those pilfered items in a proper list, and otherwise be required to pay a whopping 500 euros per day for every single day of non-compliance.  We wonder how long it will take, again, before the judge passes a final decision.  The solicitors of both sides will be meeting the bench again soon, and then what?  In the meantime, hubby and J have an appointment with their legal counsel next week for the final powwow.

I haven't been correcting my papers ... hahaha!
