More of Paxos

Up again to catch the Antipaxos ferry to be, again, cruelly disappointed. So we set off to walk to the West coast with its steeper cliffs.
Quiet roads and olive groves made for a pleasant stroll and the coast when we got to it was impressive as you can see above. We then headed to the southern tip of the lsland before back to Gaios. For most of the eight kilometres we were tailed by a spaniel type dog that refused to leave us to walk alone. Clearly not speaking any English - or perhaps our accent - it didn't listen to any commands or indeed take heed of the odd stone thrown its way. In the end we resorted to palming him off onto another English couple walking the same way and then our turning tail to leave it with them.
Having got back to Gaios we decided to go to the northern end of the island and Lakka but had missed the bus so caught a taxi. Another pretty place but also almost closed. Waiting for the bus to return, we found that the schedule had altered since picking up the timetable on Monday and there was no next bus - another taxi ride.
Having traveled through other bits of Greece on buses relatively successfully, it was disappointing to not the score on Paxos was Buses 4 Us 0.
Dinner the best meal on the island to date and the closest to where we were staying.
