Clouds above the Dee

We decided to be parkrun tourists this morning and went to Stonehaven. A newer, smaller one than our usual and the 3-lap course has a short, steep hill, some soggy grass and some muddy puddles so it made a good change from the 1-lap, 1 long and 1 shorter hill of the Dundee course. we both managed to be fastest in our age groups (not hard as there were only 3 over 60s altogether!).
Afterwards we drove to Banchory and went for a walk up Hill of Fare, a mixed walk of forests, moors and lane. Our book said it was 7 miles, it was actually about 8.5 but a pleasant walk. The rain mostly held off (didn't need waterproofs) and the sun shone on us as we lunched by a bothy.
The views across the Dee were good as there were numerous patches of low cloud and later we had views north across the farmland.
The extra is a porcupine we passed! (Further west we've met a giraffe and a dragon in the past).
