Sheffield University

Another weekend another uni visit.  Feeling slightly let-off-the-hook as we had been going to be driving to Cardiff, I found myself happily volunteering to drive the 300 mile round trip to Sheffield instead  - with the three giants that are Ben, Xan and Jack *sigh*.

Sheffield is a really appealing option with flexible Geography course choices,  great location, all walking distance campus, supportive student services, top social scene, great buildings, great graffiti and a 'famous'  lift in the Arts Tower. We learned (several times) that is is also the greenest city in the UK with 4 trees to every one person...but the clincher for me was that Eddie Izzard was a past student (I love EZ)!

We loved it  - and just to reaffirm this we bumped into the Bowie family, friends from Linton, who were visiting their son who has just started and had some really positive feedback to share also...

Here we all are on a coffee break - I spotted those clouds and managed to get the shot before it started raining.

Home safe, wine open, TV on!  Thanks giants for the car-chat all the way there and home, thus making the whole day really enjoyable...
