A fine pair of horns

This stag trotted quite close by.

I had joined couple of photographers behind a fallen tree to watch and photograph a couple of herds from a respectful distance. We found this stag and his herd coming from behind.

Shortly after a photographer stomped across in front of us trying to get as close as he could to the deer, unsettling them in the process.

I suspect that it was him that drove the stag and his herd in our direction.
