Worse before it gets better

Here is the kitchen in all it's naked glory.

Finally after the countless years of wallpapering over wallpaper, the plaster is finally free of its layered shackles!!

It looks really bad here, but I'm really pleased with the result & our efforts do far.
That wallpaper steamer only ended up being an afternoon job, it raced through, it was amazing!!

Sanding next, then clean up, ready for tomorrow's painting.

I really do like the grunge of this wall though, it'll be a tiny shame to paint over it...
