With a storm rolling in and lightning in the distance, this is the best I could do because there was no lightning.

However, I did experiment around with neutral density filters, up to six stops which extended exposure times to as much as 20 seconds, increasing the odds of seeing a strike. I also made use of my remote contro and found a nice safe place for my setup.
