Migration?

The sun started to peek above the horizon on the Moray Firth this morning at 5.44 AM. I photographed it as it came to a full circle but there was not a lot of cloud to make it a truly dramatic scene. I suppose we are spoilt up here to be so choosey. I was just about to walk away from the beach when I heard the unmistakable calling of geese on the wing. This was about 15 minutes after sunrise. They had entered the mouth of the Inner Firth from the North East, ie over the North sea from mainland Europe. Is this the start?
