A-hoo-haa

This fabulous little car parked itself right in front of me while l was visiting Stow on the Wold this afternoon.  At the time l was parked and talking with a friend on the phone.  It drove up stopped after a fashion ... the driver turning the wheel in to the pavement to prevent it running away with his passenger while he clambered out and dashed over the road to the cashpoint l think.. l didn't actually watch where he went l was so taken by the car!  The friend l was talking to quickly did a little research on its numberplate and found out that it was an Austin 7 Burghley.  Great little vehicle shaped a bit more like a boat than a car!!
l understand that this one has been restored by its current owner quite recently having belonged to his grandfather and been sold in 1947.. it has had many owners and quite an interesting life in the intervening years.
Don't you just love the horn and the hilarious mud guards which look more like wings!!
