Craftily stretching the Olympics

Each year, Stoke Fleming - "the village next door" - holds a Christmas Tree Festival in the village church. Every club and society in the village decorates a tree and the end result is a most attractive and diverse display. This year, our table tennis group have decided on an Olympics theme. So I've been busy trying out making prototype Olympic rings. The first attempt, crocheted, was very floppy (not in my photo). So here are my subsequent attempts: crochet chains around rings of flower arranging wire, and pipe-cleaner rings. Neither is perfect; I've had to compromise on linking the rings or not, and on shades of colour. But I'm hoping it's the general effect that counts!
