Sgwarnog: In the Field

Loco

It's quite unusual to see an old-fashioned diesel loco pulling passenger trains on the main network these days, so worth a blip.

37403 (now Isle of Mull) was built in 1965 and spent much of its working life on Scottish routes. Recently restored by the Bo'ness Diesel groups (of which copious images here), it is now on the Cumbrian coast route. I saw it today at Preston, where it was about to depart for Barrow-in-Furness and then on to Carlisle.
