hemmed in (or can't say no!)

my wife agreed to shorten 4 pairs of trousers for a friend. things didn't start well when the ironing-board collapsed on her leg spilling the pins and cotton reels.
another day of frantic 'shit list' jobs (as my sister calls them) as the holiday effectively finishes this monday as we're off to france for 2 weeks and then it's straight in to term.
