Constructing . . .

Her hands shape tresses
Her ringlets falling forward
Picture Tangaroa

This is Jay Dee waiting for the glue to set on the newsprint hair she has created around this mask shape.  The project is to construct a mask portraying Tangaroa  the God of the sea in Maori Mythology.  They use a white mask shape, cardboard and newsprint.  When complete it will be painted with metallic paint in green, purple, blue and silver. Hopefully they will be looking all swirly as if Tangaroa is being carried along on the currents.  The extra is Jay Dee's mask and the end of todays lesson.
