Carl Solway Gallery

The Carl Solway Gallery was very interesting and different from other places that we visited. It featured artwork/ sculpture from Alan Rath that was all electronic. Each piece had screens that were programed to play different pictures over and over again. The pictures consisted of eyes, hands, or a running man figure. All were fabricated elegant and thoughtfully. Duane Michals was another artist that was featured. His work was made up of mostly series of photographs that told a story from start to finish. He also had some of his contemporary art that was made from tintype photos with hand applied oil paint over it. Upstairs of the Carl Solway Gallery was more artwork from various artists, all were amazing in detail.
