Highdown Gardens, Ferring, West Sussex.

The colours are amazing at the moment there, see extra for another shot.
The gardens were started in 1909 by (Sir) Frederick Stern in a disused chalk quarry. He imported seeds and plants from all over the world to create this incredible garden, against many renowned horticulturists' advice. They were sure nothing would grow there. He proved them wrong and many original and rare plants still survive there.
