Stourbridge Town Clock....

It's probably the best known landmark in the town and was even made here! Built in 1857, the grade two listed town clock had a full restoration in 2007. The column was built at the Stourbridge Ironworks and was designed by engineer William Milward. for many years the clock was painted green (see photo) but for the renovation the decision was made to change the colour to dark blue and gold, the colours of the Stourbridge coat of arms.

We had an appointment in Stourbridge this morning so I took the opportunity to blip it for posterity.
