My Year

Today's Read

It's raining this afternoon so I picked up this book on the Vietnam war to read.

It's a vivid description of the horrors of that war and how the pilots of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter (nicknamed the Huie) flew their often dangerously overloaded craft, ferrying men and supplies around the jungle.

Written by an actual pilot it gives a graphic account of the horrors and dangers of war time flying. What's more it's a compelling read.
