Met day

A rainy, lazy day today, so it was perfect to venture out in between the rain showers to the Met. The collection is incredible and every time I visit I see and learn new things. It was hard to choose a picture, but here's the most striking object I saw: this little statue was made 2800-2700 BC, that is nearly 5000 years ago! It already has a modern chair and harp...I always find that so neat to think about, how small are we  in time... It's from the early Cycladic, made in what is now Greece.
