Another Day, Another Foray

There are so many fungi around at the moment, that it is difficult not to get out and enjoy them, especially as the weather is keeping fine. I went on another community group fungi walk today, to a green space on the opposite side of the city - a former playing field, which is now a spectacularly good site for Waxcaps in particular. The best things about these outings is that you get to meet lovely people who are passionate about their local area, and see bits of the city that you didn't know existed before. I did't get many pictures today, but this is a white variety of the more commonly orangey-yellow Meadow Waxcap, one I haven't seen before. Is it a separate species, or just a variation of the more usual one? Who knows!
