Back home and we will go to sleep in our own little room again!

It's a great feeling to have got a good job done at the lodge. The decking was finished on Wednesday, the tools and a mountain of scrap wood were removed from the property yesterday and today we packed up all our clothing and foodstuff and belongings.

The three of us have stayed most nights at the lodge so we could relax together at the end of the day with a meal and drinks and be there for an early start each morning. However it's nice to be home.

I went to get something out of the car and noticed the sunset over neighbouring houses. It was particularly appropriate as, for the first time in years, we also have smoke coming from our chimney as we are burning the scrap wood!
