Cascading……………

…………………..Water

I wasn’t planing another long exposure using the neutral density filters today, but an opportunity for a quick visit to the Crystal Pool near the Riwaka Resurgence  this morning dictated otherwise.

Recent rain has meant the water in this Crystal Pool was far from the usual crystal-clear aquamarine colour - although the bonus being extra water tumbling over the rocks.

A few minutes walk further along the track is the place where the water emerges from the foot of the Takaka Hill via a cave and a deep pool. This cold clear water is the beginning of the Riwaka River, near Motueka, NZ.

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s blip showing snow capped mountains - snow to this low altitude and frosts this late in spring is really unseasonable.

PS - this really looks so much better in large and against the dark background.
