Hop up high Smudge

The morning began with thick fog over the fields but it had lifted by 9am and Smudge had settled herself on top of the hop bine. The leaves have taken on a beautiful autumnal hue.

This afternoon the temperature reached 21C, the sky is blue and cloudless and it feels almost summery. As the clocks have now gone back an hour,, it will be dark by 4.30pm, which somehow seems wrong for this uncharacteristically warm day.
