Usual Suspects

So today we said goodbye to the old man. It was a really good service, lots of tears, stories, and laughter, Victoria got up and sang which was excellent (the singing was of course brilliant, but the most impressive thing was that she got through it holding back her tears until the end).

There were over 120 people there, they were standing up at the back and we ran out of 'Order of Service' sheets. He was a very well loved man.

There were lots of family there which was great, although it is difficult to actually spend quality time with them. Promises were made to have more regular non sad occasion contact.

Then off to a local hotel for sherry, soup, cake, wine, more sherry and lots of conversations.

He'd have loved it..

There was also over £750 in the collection with is going to the 'Hospice at Home' charity that gave us so much help over the last few months.

I wanted to get an up to date picture of all of Mum's grandchildren, this is an outtake ;)

Finally, thanks for all your kind words and support over the last few months. It is really appreciated by us all.

xx
