Mollusc Azaelea

I love azaleas and at the moment Blackheath is ablaze with the colours of the rhododendrons and the azaleas.  I don't remember them being as prolific as they are this year.  This extraordinary mollusc azalea bloom is absolutely tiny and the entire ball is only about and inch and a half in total, but a mass of tiny flowers within the whole.  I've never seen anything quite like it before.

A huge thank you to Ninniex for stepping in to host Tiny Tuesday for the next two weeks.  What a brick and what a fantastic macro our blip host posted yesterday.  It has to be the most ferocious looking bull ant I've ever seen.
