Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Autumnal life

Today,  few photographs of living things in their Autumnal colours. Each comes from a different group, what was once called a Kingdom, but has probably changed by now!
The main photograph, represents the plants.
The first extra, representing the animals, is of our elder grand-daughter in her Halloween colouration.
The second extra, representing the fungi, shows a colony of stump puffballs on a decaying log.
The third extra shows the sporangia of a colony of slime mould, possibly a species of Trichia.
Each of the photographs also shows trillions of bacteria, but they are, of course, far too small for us to see.
