Half frozen

The pond was half frozen in the morning. In the afternoon I was half frozen after changing winter tyres to the van. It didn't really warm my mind that I noticed them needing to be replaced soon (so were the old van's winter tyres though).

Even less warming was the call I received from the tractor repair shop soon after that. I took the old tractor there yesterday because of similar symptoms as last year (much smoke when cold etc) which was a bit alarming. It shouldn't have the same problems so soon. They found out that there was a fault in the cylinder head that had been temporarily hidden with valve adjustment last time, but now it needs a proper repair of the complete cylinder head. Not cheap.
