Goodbye

Yesterday this was my office, this morning it seems to have morphed into our senior's common room.

Today was our Year 13's last day at school.  There were a lot of laughs and jibes, and I was really impressed with how this group of students represented themselves.  Nothing overboard or harmful to anything.  Just lots of fun.

They set up a tent in the hall as their 'common room'.  This group has been amazing; because we've had to use their common room as a classroom this year they've gone without that privilege.  So today (in the form of a tent and my office) was the only day they've had one.

They filled offices with balloons, stuck sticky notes over our Counselor's entire office, papered the Assistant Principals office with photos of themselves, moved furniture around, blocked carparks and sang their way through classes with our school mascot (6 foot tall) and crazy hats.  All entirely harmless but an awful lot of fun.

And I may soon be out of a job; as you can see from my extra photo, they seem to think that now that they've finished school there is no need for the school to even exist!

A wonderful group of students.  I hope our 2017 Senior's are as responsible, cheerful and respectful.
