Farrier

Out and about today saw a mobile farrier doing what they do....so I stopped and asked if I could watch him and take a few shots.  Here the shoe is red hot as it came out of the little furnace and begins to beat it into shape.  The extra shows it going on the hoof. The horse was totally unfazed, but then I guess he would be as the shoeing is done every 6-8 weeks apparently.
A really lovely thing to see this traditional skill.
