You don't get many of these nowadays. But this week our new link road from M6 J34 to Heysham officially opened.
Some facts.
Idea first considered 1948.
Work began Feb. 2014.
Opened 31st. october 2016.
Length 4.8 Km.
Cost £140M.
Earth moved at junction with M6: 1.7M cubic metres.
25,000 cubic metres of concrete poured.

The new road will bring lots of advantages. Thankyou taxpayers.
