Wasp? Wasp-ish?

This thing was trying to wake itself up as the day went from very cool to warmish. I don't know if it's actually a thing that stings, or just a wasp mimic - but it being Saturday, I have to say that the silly thing about it was me with my nose nearly on it, trying to get a close-up. In the end this not so close-up was the best shot I got.

Also - Happy Guy Fawkes Day to all of you for whom that's a thing. And it's my birthday!
