Fire works

Wasteful, polluting, dangerous.
Elemental, uplifting, glorious.

And very difficult to photograph. This and the extras represent the best 1.5% of my attempts this evening. I have deleted 85%.

Go large and look at all those fingers just to the right of the rightmost stack of pallets!

A foray with Chamaeleo this afternoon in search of the leucistic Egyptian goose, in vain, but we were rewarded instead by a red kite circling low above us. A treat to be watching such beauty with someone who can talk to me about bird flight in a way that I can understand.
