Trinity House Lightvessel 22

We've been to Lowestoft today, catching up with Mum and sister Linda and friend Denise...

The weather has been pretty dismal for most of the day getting worse for the trip home. Drove most of the way through driving rain and from Beccles we followed a farmer delivering sugar beet to Bury St Edmunds. He was driving a huge tractor and trailer at about 35 mph. He did pull into a lay-by after about 10 miles.

The photo is of Trinity House Light Vessel 22, in for a refit maybe, or perhaps to be scrapped. Lightvessel 22 was built by Richards Shipbuilders of Lowestoft in 1967 with a displacement of 390 tons.  And something I didn't know, light vessels have been converted to solar power and the lights changed to LED.
